Here I am working on my Multnomah Arts Center show, Places You've Been. The show was in August, so moving the wood shop outside gave me nice views! I also made some much needed 'upgrades' to my shop prior to getting started on the show- better shelving and storage for pieces was a must. And I added an inclined and raised 'easel' to my bench top- hoping to reduce my leaning over to paint and save my back! Places You’ve Been is an exploration of abstract landscapes of mostly rural Pacific Northwest. I see paintings in cities too, but it’s in the country where I feel my heart and find my subjects. In this show you’ll see vistas from on the way to pacific city, Newberg, Banks, Black Butte, Columbia River Gorge, Washington State I-5 corridor, along the Lewis River, Anacortes, and Ocean Shores- all familiar and Places You’ve Been! |
